Purification of Highly Emulsified Acidic Coking Wastewater
Purification of highly emulsified acidic coking wastewater means comprehensively treating the acidic wastewater generated during the coking process, focusing on removing the multiple components it contains, such as coke fines, oil droplets, sulfides, ammonia nitrogen and phenols.
Conventional processes are often unable to completely remove the highly emulsified oils and fine suspended solids in this kind of wastewater, so the oil content of the effluent stays persistently high and the water quality struggles to meet discharge requirements. Our company's core technology system integrates the CDFU (high-efficiency compact cyclonic flotation), fine filtration units and the KHC high-efficiency coalescing separator.

Comparison with conventional processes
CDFU, as a high-efficiency cyclonic flotation unit, uses the cyclonic effect to float and separate the oil phase; fine filtration further intercepts the residual fine suspended solids in the wastewater; and the KHC high-efficiency coalescing separator finally performs deep settling and separation. The process separates emulsified oil with extremely high precision — down to 0.1 μm — and the effluent oil concentration can be stably controlled within 10 ppm. Compared with conventional means, this technology offers better feasibility and operational reliability while markedly reducing environmental impact, with outstanding environmental benefits.

Project case
In addition, the technology also demonstrates significant economic advantages. Efficiently removing emulsified oil and fine particles from the wastewater markedly cuts treatment costs and energy consumption and raises the wastewater recycling rate, thereby promoting resource conservation and reuse.
Today our company's process ranks among the industry leaders in China and has achieved industrial validation and practical application at several refining and chemical enterprises. The popularization and application of this technology provides a reliable path for the efficient treatment and compliant discharge of highly emulsified acidic coking wastewater, offering key technical support for environmental protection and the industry's green transition.
