An Analysis of Catalytic Ozone Oxidation Technology
As a highly efficient oxidizing substance and disinfecting agent, ozone has become a core technology in environmental pollution control and water treatment, widely used in all kinds of wastewater treatment scenarios. As analytical and detection methods keep advancing, studies have found that many pollutants are difficult to degrade with ozone alone — for example, polychlorinated biphenyls, THMs and other substances cannot be thoroughly oxidized by ozone alone.
Conventional oxidation processes belong to the regular technology category; their flow is typically coagulation followed by ozone oxidation and then filtration. This approach carries safety risks — dispersion of harmful gases, obvious odor, and the need for regular manual cleaning — with significant operational hazards, relatively high running costs and heavy reliance on manual operation. By contrast, advanced ozone oxidation technology, based on a multi-stage catalytic oxidation mechanism, can rapidly and broadly oxidize many elements and organics in water, converting refractory long-chain organic macromolecules into non-toxic small molecules. The whole system adopts a fully enclosed design with automatic slag and sludge discharge, combining safety with environmental friendliness. This advanced ozone oxidation and flotation technology is our company's patented achievement.

Ozone catalyst
Conventional processes struggle to degrade many kinds of organics, where advanced oxidation technology performs excellently. However, advanced ozone oxidation still has certain limitations: first, the reaction between ozone and organics is fairly selective — at low doses or over short times pollutants cannot be completely mineralized, and the intermediate products generated may inhibit further ozone oxidation; second, ozone preparation is costly and its actual utilization rate is low, driving up overall treatment costs.
Shenzhen SINOKLE Technology Co., Ltd., based on the remarkable advantages of ozone and targeting fracturing flowback fluids, well-flushing waste fluids, pharmaceutical wastewater, metallurgical wastewater, municipal landfill leachate and other complex waters, has developed the CDOF (ozone flotation integrated unit).

As a company-patented technology, the unit integrates three techniques — multi-stage catalytic ozone oxidation, hydrodynamic cavitation and cyclonic flotation — and is an independently developed, internationally leading high-efficiency integrated oxidation and flotation system of China, capable of rapidly and efficiently removing oil, suspended solids, colloids, COD, bacteria and many other pollutants from wastewater.
