CDFU Cyclonic Dissolved Air Flotation: Efficient Physical Separation for Oily Wastewater
Against the backdrop of increasingly strict environmental regulation, effective treatment of industrial oily wastewater has become a critical challenge. With its innovative CDFU (cyclonic dissolved air flotation) technology, SINOKLE provides systematic solutions that combine high efficiency with environmental performance.
Technology overview
CDFU cyclonic dissolved air flotation equipment is a cutting-edge technology independently developed and owned by SINOKLE. The system creatively integrates cyclonic centrifugal separation, ultra-fine bubble generation and dissolved air flotation, rapidly and thoroughly separating floating oil, emulsified oil and suspended solids. Its modular skid-mounted design greatly reduces the footprint, simplifies installation and shortens project schedules.
Operating principle
The core of the technology is injecting large numbers of ultra-fine bubbles into the wastewater. These bubbles collide with and bind to dispersed oil droplets and suspended particles, forming flocs with an apparent density lower than water that rise to the surface under buoyancy and are removed. Meanwhile the cyclonic structure inside the unit creates a centrifugal field that further strengthens coalescence and removal of the pollutant phase. This fully physical demulsification and separation is stable and efficient, and completely avoids chemical dosing, reducing the risk of secondary pollution at source.

Outstanding performance versus conventional processes
Compared with conventional dissolved air flotation, the CDFU units show clear advantages on several fronts:
Much higher treatment efficiency: hydraulic retention time is under 5 minutes, only 1/8 to 1/3 of conventional processes.
Better separation performance: a single stage removes over 90% of oil and more than 80% of suspended solids, better than the 60–85% and 50–70% achieved by conventional technology.
Safe, environmentally sound operation: the fully enclosed, pressurised system eliminates odour and VOC emissions.
High level of intelligence: remote monitoring and fully automatic unattended operation significantly reduce manual operation and maintenance costs.
