In water treatment scenarios such as oily wastewater treatment, sludge flotation and catalytic oxidation of refractory organics, the performance of the dissolved air system directly determines the efficiency of downstream separation and reaction.

Conventional dissolved air systems have long faced multiple pain points:

  • First, bubble size is large (generally > 50 μm) and unevenly distributed, resulting in insufficient gas-liquid contact and low treatment efficiency;

  • Second, the air injection rate is high (usually >5%), requiring a bulky nitrogen generation or aeration support system, with high capital and operating costs;

  • Third, the release device scales and clogs easily, making maintenance frequent and difficult, with significant downtime losses;

  • Fourth, energy consumption remains high, running counter to the current industry trend toward environmental protection and energy saving.

SINOKLE has introduced German EDUR core technology to build a high-efficiency dissolved air system. Through technical optimization and localized adaptation, it thoroughly solves the traditional dissolved air problems and has become an efficient, stable and economical core support unit in water treatment.

▲EDUR Dissolved Air System

SINOKLE's EDUR high-efficiency dissolved air system is built around a German-made EDUR multiphase pump combined with proprietary microbubble release technology. After more than 30 years of technical iteration it has established an industry barrier in stability and efficiency, its core advantages stemming from precise command of dissolved-air principles and structural innovation. As the "power heart" of the system, the EDUR multiphase pump inherits German precision manufacturing and offers outstanding reliability and adaptability. Unlike conventional centrifugal pumps that only transport a single fluid, this pump can directly achieve gas-liquid mixing and pressurized dissolved air without an additional gas-liquid mixing tank, simplifying the system structure. Its unique impeller design provides strong cavitation resistance, allowing stable operation at an air injection rate of 2-3% (by volume, standard-state gas), avoiding the efficiency decay that conventional pumps suffer from gas accumulation and providing sustained power for stable microbubble generation.

▲Ultrafine Nano-Bubble Performance

The system's core breakthrough lies in proprietary microbubble release technology, whose special structural design delivers three key optimizations:

1) Precisely controllable bubble size: microbubble diameter is consistently 5-30 microns with a uniform distribution. Compared with conventional dissolved air systems (50-100 microns), the specific surface area of the bubbles increases by more than 10 times, greatly enlarging the gas-liquid contact area and raising mass transfer efficiency by 3-5 times;

2) Anti-clogging and easy maintenance: a large-diameter pipe release structure can be flexibly adjusted to the water quality scenario, reducing scaling and clogging at the source. The release device uses a flanged installation design, making disassembly, replacement and cleaning convenient, and extending the maintenance interval by 60% compared with conventional equipment;

3) Low consumption and high efficiency: the air injection rate is only 2-3% of the treated water volume, far below the 5-8% required by conventional systems, so no bulky auxiliary nitrogen generation or aeration system is needed, greatly reducing capital investment and operating energy consumption.

While retaining EDUR core technology, SINOKLE has carried out localized optimization for complex domestic water quality scenarios. Material adaptation: the release device and contact parts can be supplied in stainless steel, anti-corrosion coatings and other materials to suit high-salinity and highly corrosive wastewater, extending equipment service life. Seamless interfacing is supported with SINOKLE CFU flotation equipment and heterogeneous ozone catalytic systems, precisely matching dissolved air volume and bubble size to downstream processes and improving overall treatment efficiency by more than 20%. Through hydrodynamic simulation and optimized flow channel design, the EDUR multiphase pump motor achieves IE3 efficiency or better, cutting energy consumption per ton of water by 40%-50% compared with conventional dissolved air systems.

The SINOKLE EDUR high-efficiency dissolved air system is not merely a single piece of equipment but a cost-optimization and efficiency-improvement solution for the entire water treatment flow, with core benefits spanning the whole project lifecycle:

In oily wastewater treatment, working together with CFU flotation equipment, the microbubbles rapidly adsorb oil droplets and suspended solids, raising single-stage oil removal to above 90% and suspended solids removal to above 85%, a 30% improvement in treatment efficiency over conventional systems. In heterogeneous ozone catalytic oxidation, the uniform microbubbles accelerate ozone dissolution and mass transfer; combined with SINOKLE heterogeneous catalysts, ozone utilization rises from the conventional 60%-75% to above 95%, hydroxyl radical generation increases twofold, and the degradation efficiency of refractory organics improves substantially.

Capital cost: air injection is only 2-3%, the scale of auxiliary support systems is cut by 60%, footprint is reduced by 50%, and capital investment falls by 30%-40%. Operating cost: power consumption is only 0.2-0.3 kWh per ton of water, saving more than 1 million yuan in electricity annually compared with conventional systems (based on 10,000 tons of water treated per day). Maintenance cost: maintenance frequency drops by 70%, the flanged installation design reduces downtime, and annual maintenance cost is only 30% that of conventional systems.

The system operates stably across a wide range of conditions — medium temperature 0-80℃ and pH 3-11 — and adapts to complex water qualities including oily wastewater, high-salinity wastewater and sludge water. Its extremely low clogging risk and 8-10 year service life ensure continuous, stable operation of the water treatment system and reduce environmental compliance risks caused by equipment failure, making it especially suitable for petrochemical, chemical and municipal wastewater applications with strict requirements on operational stability. Through low air injection and an efficient motor design, the system cuts CO₂ emissions by 0.3 kg per ton of water treated; a project treating 1 million tons of water annually can reduce carbon emissions by more than 300 tons. No additional chemical reagents are needed to assist dissolved air, avoiding secondary pollution and aligning with the "dual carbon" goals and the concept of green water treatment.

At a petrochemical oily wastewater treatment project, a SINOKLE EDUR high-efficiency dissolved air system was used together with CFU flotation equipment. Before treatment the wastewater had an oil content of 800 mg/L and suspended solids of 200 mg/L; after treatment the oil content dropped below 15 mg/L and suspended solids removal reached 90%, while the treatment cost per ton of water fell from 4.2 yuan with the conventional system to 1.8 yuan, saving more than 8 million yuan in operating costs annually;

Through a path of "German core technology + localized optimization", the SINOKLE EDUR high-efficiency dissolved air system has successfully compressed the overall cost of the dissolved air stage in water treatment to 50%-60% of the industry average. We not only supply high-performance equipment but also provide integrated "dissolved air system + downstream process" solutions for different water treatment scenarios, with professional support throughout equipment selection, installation and commissioning, and subsequent O&M.
