The SINOKLE's full-scale landfill leachate treatment process was applied to the leachate from a landfill in Hubei, China. The leachate from this landfill had high color, COD exceeding 1000 mg/L, high ammonia nitrogen content, and a biodegradability of only 0.1.

The SINOKLE's full-scale process was used to treat the wastewater from the plant, with a daily processing capacity of 1000 m³. After six months of commissioning and operation, the process showed stable treatment performance for the landfill leachate. The effluent from the CDFU was clear and transparent, with low suspended solids, and met the comprehensive wastewater discharge standards GB8979-1996. The effluent had COD < 100 mg/L, ammonia nitrogen < 35 mg/L, and total phosphorus < 1 mg/L.
