Oilfield Produced Water Treatment Process: Limitations of Conventional Processes and SINOKLE's New-Technology Breakthrough
Poor separation performance: they rely on chemical demulsification and are strongly affected by dosing concentration and temperature, with only 60%-80% removal of emulsified oil and fine suspended solids; effluent oil and suspended solids struggle to meet standards stably.
Severe equipment wear: sulfides, bacteria and calcium carbonate deposits in produced water easily cause equipment corrosion and pipeline blockage; filter media compacts frequently and maintenance costs are high.
Cumbersome, inefficient flow: many treatment stages and long residence time (over 3 minutes required), weak ability to cope with fluctuations in produced water volume and quality; later system expansion is needed, driving sharp increases in investment and operating costs.
Prominent environmental risks: the use of chemical agents produces large volumes of oily sludge; untimely sludge disposal easily triggers secondary pollution, and the process cannot meet the treatment needs of complex waters such as heavy-oil and low-permeability reservoirs.
SINOKLE takes its patented CDFU cyclonic vessel flotation oil remover as the core and has launched three short-flow oilfield produced water treatment-and-reinjection schemes. Through the innovative combination of "two-stage CDFU cyclonic dissolved-air flotation + KFM active filter media filter + modified inorganic membrane filter", they comprehensively solve the problems of conventional processes with significant advantages:

Scheme 1: after three-phase separator pretreatment, two-stage CDFU removes oil and suspended solids; the water is then filtered by the KFM active filter media filter, reaching the 10-5-3 (oil, suspended solids, median particle size) high-permeability formation standard before reinjection; backwash water is dewatered and hauled away.
Scheme 2: After three-phase separator pretreatment, two-stage CDFU removes oil and suspended solids; the water is then filtered by two-stage KFM active filter media filters, reaching the 6-2-1.5 (oil, suspended solids, median particle size) low-permeability formation Class A2 standard before reinjection; backwash water is dewatered and hauled away.
Scheme 3: After three-phase separator pretreatment, two-stage CDFU removes oil and suspended solids; the water then passes one stage of KFM active filter media filtration followed by modified inorganic membrane deep filtration, reaching 5-1-1 (oil, suspended solids, median particle size) low-permeability formation Class A1 standard before reinjection; backwash water is dewatered and hauled away.

High-efficiency separation, stable compliance: CDFU technology combines cyclonic centrifugation with ultrafine bubble generation, producing 5-30 μm ultrafine bubbles (10 times the specific surface area of conventional bubbles) and 3 times the centrifugal acceleration, achieving an oil removal rate of 99% and a suspended solids removal rate of 98%. Application results show A1-grade effluent with oil ≤5 mg/L and suspended solids ≤1 mg/L, fully meeting reinjection requirements.
Purely physical treatment, environmentally sound: abandoning chemical agents in favor of purely physical demulsification and separation; no aged oil is generated, sludge volume is greatly reduced, and secondary pollution is avoided at the source.
Strong shock resistance, wide applicability: the two-stage cyclonic flotation pretreatment design handles fluctuations in water quality and volume and adapts to complex produced water from heavy-oil and low-permeability reservoirs, overcoming the technical limits of conventional processes.
Skid-mounted and intelligent, controllable cost: the skid-mounted equipment design has a small footprint and suits space-constrained sites such as offshore platforms; fully automated operation with remote monitoring reduces labor dependence and significantly lowers operation and maintenance costs.
