Overview of High-Efficiency Ozone Catalytic Oxidation Technology
Ozone has an oxidation potential of 2.07 V. As a strongly oxidizing agent, it can interact with organic compounds containing unsaturated groups in wastewater, reducing their toxicity and improving their biodegradability.
The ozone oxidation process is simple, has a short treatment cycle, and produces no residues, usually without causing secondary pollution. However, the oxidation capacity of this technology is limited and it shows strong reaction selectivity. When multiple pollutants coexist, ozone will preferentially react with fast-reacting components, so some refractory substances and low-molecular-weight organic acids cannot be removed by ozone oxidation alone. In addition, the low ozone utilization efficiency and high system energy consumption also limit the further promotion of this technology.
Under the action of catalytic media, ozone catalytic oxidation technology can quickly and thoroughly decompose or transform refractory organic components in wastewater through catalytic ozone oxidation, achieving water purification. Catalytic ozonation is a new water treatment method aimed at enhancing the oxidation capacity of ozone and improving its utilization efficiency. Using the synergistic effect of the catalyst and ozone, the technology can lower the reaction activation energy or adjust the reaction path, thereby achieving deep oxidation treatment and maximum removal of organic pollutants. Specifically, the catalyst promotes the generation of more hydroxyl radicals with extremely high oxidation potential, enabling complete degradation of organic pollutants; through coordination reactions between the catalyst and organic pollutants in water, these substances are more easily oxidized and decomposed; at the same time, it concentrates ozone and organics, accelerating their oxidative decomposition.
CDOF (Cyclonic Dissolved Ozone Flotation Unit) is the company's proprietary technology, integrating multi-stage catalytic ozone oxidation, hydrodynamic cavitation and cyclonic flotation. As the first high-efficiency oxidation-flotation integrated equipment of its kind in China and reaching internationally advanced levels, the unit can efficiently and quickly remove various pollutants from wastewater, including oils, suspended solids, colloidal particles, COD and microorganisms. The equipment consists of an oxygen preparation system, an ozone generation system, an efficient ozone dosing device, a multi-stage catalytic reaction unit and a cyclonic dissolved air flotation assembly.

Fewer electrical devices mean low power consumption and low operating costs; operation is convenient and can be automated, simplifying on-site operation requirements. When water quality and quantity fluctuate, the system can adjust accordingly, with strong adaptability and high shock-load resistance. It can also be combined with other technologies (such as biological treatment) to give full play to their respective advantages and further improve treatment performance.
