When an oil-water mixture flows through a specific magnetic field at a certain velocity, various molecules and atoms move under the action of magnetic forces. Because their masses differ, their precession angular velocities also differ, producing different additional magnetic moments.

Polar molecules (such as asphaltenes and water) are deflected under the torque of the Lorentz force, destroying their original electrical structure and causing separation (i.e., demulsification and viscosity reduction). The complexation state between water molecules and ions, as well as the association state between water molecules, is disrupted, thereby liberating the ions. Under the combined action of electrostatic attraction and the Lorentz force, the cations and anions collide, neutralize their charges, and form neutral molecular microcrystals (the magneto-crystallization effect).

Because the scale-forming ions disappear or are greatly reduced, they will no longer, or only with great difficulty, adsorb and discharge on the impeller, volute, and pipelines to form scale. When the impeller rotates at high speed it rubs violently against the fluid, generating a high potential difference that exerts a strong attraction on scale-forming ions.
