Cause Analysis and Countermeasures of Tray Scaling in Acidic Water Stripper Unit
Abstract: To reasonably reduce scaling and improve the operating efficiency of the acidic water stripper unit while extending its service life, this paper adopts a problem-oriented approach, taking the acidic water stripper unit currently in use at the facility as the research object. It focuses on the causes of tray scaling and proposes targeted adjustment strategies, including optimizing the operation of D501 and D502/AB, optimizing the raw water process, replacing the acidic water feed de-oiler, and optimizing process parameters. Practice has shown that, with the introduction of these improvement measures, the scaling condition has visibly improved, the overall operating cycle has been smoothly extended, and the number of maintenance shutdowns during operation has also been markedly reduced. It is estimated that from 2023 to 2025, production costs of nearly 3.6 million yuan can be effectively saved.
